We wanted to share a quick update about dangerous driving in your area. Please be assured we’re working to keep everyone safe. Yesterday on the 16th of September the second deployment of Operation Lexand tactics was used in your area. The operation was led by the North Walworth Town Centre Team along with special constables, SNT officers and Interceptors. This operation uses a vehicle stop site and a portable rolling road to seized illegal electric bikes and scooters. The vehicles are dangerous to the public with some being able to reach speeds of up to 50mph. These vehicles are also used to commit crimes such as theft and robberies and therefore police are making use of new technology and tactics to take these vehicles off of the road. If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders.
Activities such as street racing, cruising or performing tricks can count as anti-social behaviour. If you are concerned about this in your area, visit our website for the latest guidance.
